At the heart of J.D. Brandon lies a story of dedication and artistry. I began crafting leather goods out of a desire to work with my hands—to create something that tells its own story. With no formal training but a relentless drive to create, I embraced countless nights of trial and error to perfect my craft.

Each stitch and every piece of leather carries the essence of my journey—a journey defined by patience, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for materials that grow more beautiful with time. J.D. Brandon was built on these values, crafting pieces designed to embody simplicity and elegance.

Each hide is carefully chosen for its unique beauty and durability, paired with hand-waxed linen thread for lasting strength and premium hardware for timeless elegance. Inside, French chèvre leather adds remarkable durability and refined texture.

  • A selection of premium leathers, hand-waxed linen thread, and edge paint swatches—each element is thoughtfully chosen.

  • Creating fine leather goods demands skill, patience, and time-tested tools. Essential tools like knives, awls, pricking irons, and hammers are used to cut, shape, and prepare each piece of leather with precision. Patterns are traced by hand, and every detail is carefully crafted to achieve a perfect harmony of function, form, and lasting beauty.

  • Saddle stitching, a time-honoured hand-sewing technique, uses two needles passing through the same hole from opposite sides to create an interlocking seam. Executed entirely by hand with waxed linen thread, this time-intensive method ensures unmatched strength, exceptional durability, and a timeless beauty achievable only through traditional craftsmanship.

  • Chiyogami paper, one of our artisan papers used in our packaging, originates from Japan’s Edo period. Hand-screened in Kyoto, each layer reflects centuries of tradition and artistry, adding a unique touch to every unboxing experience.

Diamond Rally 2024

J.D. Brandon was honoured to participate in the Diamond Rally, a prestigious supercar event supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

As part of the weekend’s celebrations, we presented a bespoke red Maria handbag, custom-crafted as an exclusive award for one of the event’s lucky participants.

The rally also featured luxury showcases, including a special presentation of Pagani’s Utopia and an evening with Jacob & Co.’s exceptional timepieces.
